Basic Supply List
Art making should be affordable. That's why we reuse the same supplies in each class.
Basic Supply ListÂ
The vast majority of our classes can be completed with only the "All Coop Classes" basic supplies. Truth is, you probably have most of them in your home already!Â
Cost: If you are starting from scratch, supplies for all Coop classes will likely cost around $35-40 from major retailers.
Supplies: Below are the supplies you need to take Chicken Coop Club classes. Be sure to check out the video below to see everything in the Basic Supply List!Â
All Coop Classes:
- Semi-moist pan watercolors
- Tempera paint sticks
- Simple paint brushes
- Oil pastels
- Heavy weight paper with a little tooth or texture
- Assorted colored construction paperÂ
- Broadline water-based (non-permanent) markers
- Foam Clay (like Model Magic or similar brand)
- School/household items like crayons, scissors, white glue, glue stick, a pencil, and occasional recyclables
- Optional embellishments on occasion (glitter, pompoms, yarn, fabric scraps, googly eyes, etc.)
- Personalized Chicken Coop Club Art Bin label (PDF to print is inside the Coop!)
Medium Level (Age 7 and up) Classes Add:Â
- Liquid tempera paint
- Mod Podge or similar sealerÂ
- Clay (older children might light to try celluclay, or air-dry clay)
- A broader variety of paint brushes
- Additional household items like a Sharpie marker and gel pens
Spicy Level (Age 9 and up) Classes Add:
- Acrylic paint
- Drawing paper
- Drawing pencil set with eraser
