Meet the Instructor: Shemi Dixon
May 02, 2022I am a mixed media artist and teacher based in Colorado, USA. I've taught hundreds of YouTube art classes and tutorials online since 2013. My first job was teaching art at a community outreach center called Hope Communities to kids 6-12 years after school. I started teaching adult art classes in 2018 at Colorado Free University.
I believe the process of creating art is healing and deeply important.
I'm inspired by color, texture, and up-cycling. My favorite art techniques are collage, doodling, and mark-making. I hope to inspire others to create art from their hearts.
My favorite subject in school was history. I love to listen to all different types of '90s music when I'm creating.
