Meet the Instructor: Amanda Evanston
May 02, 2022Hi! My name is Amanda. I’m a painter, a maker, and a mom. When I am mixing paint and getting ready to apply it to the canvas, I can feel my cells shift. Can’t tell you where that comes from, but I suspect it means I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. This is it.
I teach in the Chicken Coop Club hoping students get a similar feeling when they create. Let's stop the pursuit of perfection and concentrate on enjoying the process! Over the years I have taught thousands of individuals how to create beautiful and meaningful works of art. This is a great honor for me and I hope you will be one of them! As a child, I struggled with academics and we didn't do a lot of art - my favorite subject in school was snack time. When creating, I listen to a lot of baroque-era classical music, but I also like anything with an accordion. No really!
My role in the Chicken Coop Club is to help develop the content schedule and teach classes. I cannot wait to create with student members!
